One-Year Limited Jewelry Warranty

Effective date: November 2, 2026

At Birthstone Company, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our jewelry. Birthstone Company warrants new jewelry purchased from birthstonecompany.com or an official Birthstone Company marketplace storefront against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from delivery.

This warranty applies to purchases made on or after the effective date and extends to the original purchaser or original gift recipient. It is nontransferable. Watches and non-jewelry accessories are excluded.

Warranty Coverage

If you believe your jewelry has a manufacturing defect, contact us to arrange an evaluation. Proof of purchase and return of the affected jewelry for inspection are generally required. Photographs may assist our initial review but do not guarantee coverage.

If inspection confirms a manufacturing defect, we will repair the covered issue without charging for parts or labor. If repair is not practical, we will replace the item with the same item or, with your agreement, a comparable item. If neither option is available, we will refund the purchase price paid for the affected item, including applicable sales tax.

Approved warranty claims are not subject to a restocking fee. Shipping responsibilities are explained below.

Exclusions

This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear, including scratches, tarnishing, gradual plating wear, worn prongs, and routine maintenance.
  • Damage caused by pulling, snagging, impact, bending, crushing, misuse, improper care, or exposure inconsistent with the item's care instructions.
  • Entirely lost or stolen jewelry, including a missing earring or pair of earrings, or unexplained disappearance.
  • Chipped, cracked, damaged, or missing stones or components, unless the available evidence establishes that the issue resulted from a covered manufacturing defect.
  • Damage caused by repairs, resizing, engraving, or alterations performed by another service provider. Such work does not exclude an unrelated manufacturing defect.
  • Changes in fit, personal preferences, or natural variations consistent with the product description.

If a clasp, backing, setting, or other component appears loose or insecure, stop wearing the jewelry and contact us promptly. To the extent permitted by law, additional damage or loss caused by knowingly continuing to wear insecure jewelry is excluded. An otherwise covered manufacturing defect remains eligible for review.

Shipping Responsibilities

Claims reported within 30 days of delivery: Birthstone Company covers standard insured shipping to our designated service location and standard shipping back for approved manufacturing-defect claims. Contact us for a prepaid label before shipping.

Claims reported after 30 days: The customer pays insured shipping to our designated service location. Birthstone Company covers standard shipping back for approved claims.

Issues outside warranty coverage: The customer is responsible for shipping in both directions. We will disclose potential return-shipping charges before you send the item and obtain your approval before performing any paid repair.

These provisions apply unless applicable law or binding marketplace requirements provide otherwise.

Requesting Service

Email info@birthstonecompany.com with your order number or other proof of purchase, a description of the issue, and clear photographs if available. Keep the jewelry and any detached parts, and contact us for authorization and shipping instructions before mailing them.

For an order placed through a marketplace storefront such as Amazon or Walmart, start your claim through that marketplace's buyer messaging, and we will handle it there.

Claims must be reported within one year of delivery. A timely reported claim remains eligible for review and resolution after that period expires.

We may verify purchase records, item identity, and the circumstances of the claim. Claims involving established material misrepresentation, substituted merchandise, or intentionally caused damage may be declined. If coverage is declined, we will explain why and consider additional relevant information.

Additional Terms

This warranty is separate from our return policy and does not reduce any applicable manufacturer's warranty. Earlier purchases remain subject to the warranty terms provided when purchased.

This warranty does not disclaim implied warranties or limit rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be restricted.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
